Deep Blue Green (DBG) is a Erasmus+ Sports project that aims to promote health, well-being, and social inclusion through innovative outdoor activities that integrate physical exercise, ecopsychology, and emotional intelligence. Focusing on four target groups—individuals with physical disabilities, intellectual disabilities, elderly people, and physically inactive individuals—the project creates inclusive, nature-based programs that encourage lifelong healthy lifestyles.
By combining green (land-based) and blue (water-based) activities, the project fosters motivation for health, emotional resilience, and environmental connection. Participants engage in diverse physical and well-being events in natural environments, supported by educational seminars and digital tools. DBG also enhances staff capacity, encourages volunteer participation, and develops accessible, transferable tools and guides to ensure sustainability and EU-wide impact.
The project is implemented in Greece, Italy, Portugal, and Malta, with activities aligning with the goals of the HealthyLifestyle4All campaign, and the European Week of Sport. It continues and expands upon the successful “Blue-Green Exercise” initiative.
